He has had success as a solo artist and as a member of vocal group, Celtic Thunder.

He was born in Dublin in 1979 and it was clear from an early age that he had a huge talent for singing.

When he was seven he started voice study and training with music coaches. He later studied under legendary Irish opera singer and vocal teacher, Dr. Veronica Dunne.

Recording his first album

Byrom started his singing career at the age of 12 when he performed in an opera at the National Concert Hall in Dublin.

By the time he was 14, he was already a professional singer and he recorded his first album as a boy soprano.

After that he continued performing but it was another 12 years before he released his second album.

It was titled Velvet and reached number 2 in the Irish music charts in 2005. The success of the album raised Byrom’s profile.

He appeared on Irish TV and radio several times and reached the grand final of a show called Celebrity Jigs and Reels.

Performing for huge crowds and VIPs

As a solo artist he performed for many important people such as Irish President Mary McAleese, former Irish President and UN Commissioner for Human Rights, Mary Robinson, and Emperor Akihito of Japan.

He has also played at some of Ireland and Europe’s biggest sporting events and venues such as Croke Park for the All-Ireland Finals, Lansdowne Road and the Aviva Stadium for the Irish national rugby team.

He has also provided pre-match entertainment for European Champions, Barcelona, possibly the greatest football team ever put together.
