The song Molly Malone is famous the world over as this rendition by the Dutch singers, Shantygroep, from The Netherlands shows.
Here they are giving an impromptu performance for our cameras in front of the Molly Malone statue in Dublin on St Patrick’s Day 2011.
There was no rehearsal and no second take. They just went straight in with this excellent performance and quickly drew an appreciative audience.
